Smartphone becomes in-car head-up display.
Head-up Display, or HUD, has been
considered an expensive nice-to-have gadget mostly for luxury automobiles. With
HUD, a driver can keep their eyes more on the road rather than looking down the
cockpit or navigation display, which will improve the safety, convenience and comfort
for driving.
Now, using a conventional smartphone, which
hardware is replaced every other year or so, its apps and maps are upgraded
every day and the location is updated every second, you don’t have to spend fortune
on ancient technology which the car company developed several years ago.
