Apes comfort each
other 'like humans'
This
most-human-like ape has been known to be very social and emotional. And a new
study has revealed an even more empathic act like humans than previously
thought. Comfort.
If you see this
short video clip showing a distressed chimp being hugged and comforted by
another, you’ll feel the act is no different from one of ours.
Another research
suggests that young bonobos that have been separated from their mothers seem to
be less tolerant to stress. That also sounds similar to humans, doesn’t it?
